Due to the reported oil usage here I am intending to pick up a litre of oil when I collect the car on Saturday.
Out of interest has anybody got any this way and is it a mega expensive way of getting the stuff ? It seems that Castrol 0-30 5-40 or 10-40 synthetic will do just fine for topping up. |

Although this is unlikely unless you handle used oil on a daily basis, it is still advisable to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water as soon as possible after handling used oil. For the details of lubrication points and type of lubricants to be applied, refer to the illustrated index and various work procedures (such as Assembly/Reassembly, Replacement, Overhaul, Installation, etc.) contained in each section. Lubrication Points Lubricant A Engine Always use synthetic genuine Honda Motor Oil (Highly recommended), synthetic 0W-30 motor oil ACEA A1/B1 (Highly recommended), or synthetic motor oil ACEA A3/B3. ACEA viscosity: See chart. B Manual transmission Honda Manual Transmission Fluid (MTF) Always use genuine Honda MTF*. Using motor oil can cause stiffer shifting because it does not contain the proper additives. C Brake system (including VSA line) Brake Fluid DOT 3 or DOT 4 We recommend genuine Honda Brake Fluid. Using a non-Honda brake fluid can cause corrosion and decrease the life of the system. D Clutch line Brake Fluid DOT 3 or DOT 4 We recommend genuine Honda Brake Fluid. how long will this topic be open ? the right answers are given long time ago.
Let's repeat: 5W40 is good and advised (has to do with a pricepoint of course), 10w40 is aloud, but 0w30 is advised for high performance and fuel efficiency. (and according to this it's clear that a 5w30 is also very good choise by the way) My personal choise if money doesn't matter: Shell 0w30 So make up your choise and close this stupid-getting topic ! |
