*EDIT by FWH*
WARNING. This is a home made map and it is not proffesionally tested. It was made my a member who is now banned. Using this map may seriously damage your car. Civinfo takes no responisibily for this map or any damage caused by using it. ******************************************* Hi Guys , you can remap your own civic very easily with the Galletto 1260 ,which can be purchased off ebay for as little as £25. I have experience in building maps and have 3 tuned maps of various stages of performance , 15% , 25% , 30% . . You will not find these maps advertised on ebay ,even on the disks boasting 35000 tuned files for a Tenner, the honda maps are not readily available. I have recently done my new 2.2 civic 08 plate , and i have not had it on a dyno but the performance increase is unbelievable .0-65 is returning 7.3 secs, the torque increase is neck wrenching from 2200 ,to 4500 revs. From experience i would estimate 175-185 bhp. These maps are well within the limits of the engine and drive train , however if you are having clutch issues like some people are complaining about on this forum , then the power increase will make this worse. I have had the high performance map in my car now for 3 months without the slightest problem ,except for the big grin on my face when i accelerate. I can supply these maps if anyone is interested and i will also guide you through the process if required , it is honestly very simple a child could do it.The hard work is in building the maps.. .If you are not happy with the new maps you can simply reload your original maps into the ecu and you are then back to standard , no one would ever know.( Honda dealers **Edit by DR** Edit (Pottsy): There is now a wiki page about this here. Sounds interesting mate but I'd like to know a bit more about it first.
Have you done anyone elses motor other than your own? Where abouts are you in the UK? Maybe youd like a guinepig to give you a testimonial or review on your maps??? Last edited by P UNIT; 13th June 2009 at 01:15. |

Guys
i have done many cars , for example Golf, passat, octavia ,bmw, mercedes c classe, many peugoets, Seat Leon,to name but a few. I assure you it is very easy to do, and all the maps are well within specifications. you can buys many maps off ebay that have also been tried and tested, but as i say no one is selling the Civic files.with a programme called Winols it is possible to tweak your own maps to suit your driving style .if you preferre torque at low end or top end this is very easily achievable with this software. On average each ecu hold 140 maps that control the engine management system, the most common maps that are modfied are the fuel ratio/boost / turbo/throttle response maps .in total approx 6 -12 maps are modified depending on the car. for example only 2 maps need to modifed on the Mercedes c classe diesel. On the civic 12 maps ,but 6 are duplicated so in reality you are modifiying 6 maps only. This is the hard part . Loading maps into your car is childs play with the tool i mentioned, all you do is download your original maps for safe keeping then upload the modifed maps, job done.!!! saving your self £100's of pounds. The Galletto does all of the vehicles i mentioned above + many more **Edit by DR** thansk for listening ,hope this helps Last edited by Dimplyred; 13th June 2009 at 11:33. Reason: Forum Rules |

If you are here to sell stuff (like your maps), then you will need to post in the appropriate section (For sale and Wanted). If you are not (and just a genuine enthusiast here to help others), then you could zip the maps up and upload them here for others to enjoy. |

I'd definitely be interested in it aswell; if you could do it so you could reset back to normal map aswell, (as per service time) then that that would be even better!

remapping made simple
*EDIT by FWH*
WARNING. This is a home made map and it is not proffesionally tested. It was made my a member who is now banned. Using this map may seriously damage your car. Civinfo takes no responisibily for this map or any damage caused by using it. ******************************************* the Galletto 1260 will work on the EDC16 C31 ECU, all of the new civic 2.2 diesels i have come across have this ecu . just connect to the odb port turn on iginition ,not the engine, and select the Honda /edc16 /then press find ecu.it will connect and display all the info from your ecu. once this is done just downlaod your original map, save it in file somewhere just in case you decide to put it back to standard spec for selling etc. Then upload the new map i have given you . ,the software will firstly erase the memory of the ecu ,don't worry this is normal .it will then upload the new map .approx 2 minutes. JOB DONE ! enjoy your new car and let me know what you think any questions i will be glad to help Jem Last edited by FWH; 22nd January 2011 at 13:52. Reason: added warning |

I am not offended guys , only here to help , i understand your concerns ,that is why i have explained the procedure ,it is really simple , i am in the midlands if you want me to do it for you .
The hardest part is done for you ,that is building the maps, if you get a galletto, you can plug it in and just look at the ecu if you wish , download your map and compare with 'winols' this will not effect your ecu what so ever.or download your map send it to me and i will confirm that it is fully compatible before you continue any further . making it idiot proof ( that does not mean i am calling you idiots ) lol regards Jem |

yes it is the map , you can only open it with Winols which is the modification software ,you will not find this software anywhere on the net ,it is meant only for dealers /bonafied tuning companies.( very expensive) there is software called wingal which is similar , personally i don,t like using it .but it is fine to use.with ths you can compare my modifed map with the original one you take from your car.this may be supplied with the Galletto 1260 (ebay)as well as the upload/download software ,
hope this helps . |

i think this deserves a sticky, so we can upload custom maps and also download a standard map if someone was to wipe or lose there original . this could be an interesting thread as alot of us will have our warrentys expiring soon. do your own tuning, now this is good.
