is it casuing a problem? If not I wouldn't worry. When coming to a stop, just as I put the clutch in, the revs drop very low, but that's the fuel (which I believe is cut off when slowing down) coming back in.

Mine also drops (think around 500rpm) but get back to 750rpm in seconds...

Unhappy

Hi,
lately (last 3.000km), my Civic (5d Sport, 1800cc petrol engine, 15.000km) also drops to 500rpm and then gets back to 750rpm (in the attached video MOV00008-error.3gp drops just to 650rpm but this is not the worst case - see the almost normal in MOV00011-normal.3gp ).

The funny thing is than doesn't happen always (usually happens at nights !!!!), so local Honda dealer cannot trace the error. They don't believe me, or they don't want to believe me (a problem exists only if the car is dead)! Furthermore, no error record is registered in the diagnostic tester, so nothing is to be fixed!

The problem generally indicates dirty carburetor throttle (sorry for my bad english), but in this case there is not such a problem (I've already check it).

This is definitely not the normal behaviour, and the resultant problem (when drops below 500rpm, particularly in rapid slow down) is that the engine stops (meaning that power boost to the steering and brakes is disabled), usually at the center of a crossroad!!!!

Please let me know if you find out what is wrong.
