If I were you I would get the intake kit and the exhaust before then get it all mapped to suit. Esp if you going to celtic to get it mapped.

I would definatley go this route and also you need to go too one of their outlets and NOT use the mobile service as they only apply the generic map.

yeah as welly said you would have to have a complete custom map which would involve some kind rolling road mapping. it may be worth ringing around a few mapping companies first.

I'm not sure if Celtic do this, but Superchips do. I was going to get a custom Superchips remap on my previous car because of other engine mods. The engine would be run up on a rolling road while connected to the Superchips site via the EOBD. They evaluate the power/torque and fuelling figures and provide you with a custom remap unique to your car, with a unique PIN incase you need to change it again due to further engine mods.

I'm thinking of getting the Celtic remap, but I'm also considering improving the exhaust system.

Celtic definitely do this. See my thread

Celtic Tuning - Custom Remap

To the OP, as already been said, you always modify the car before you have a remap otherwise the remap won't take into consideration the performance upgrades.

Cheers mate, I looked at your thread aswell, but didn't spot the "custom remap", maybe I was distracted by your curves !

I'm based in Cornwall ATM so getting it done at their place is looking good .

No probs, glad to be of assistance.

You won't regret getting the custom remap done, it totally transforms the driveability of the car.

Helston is a nice part of the world. I know it well, I used to live in St Austell. Pity getting work down there is so difficult, otherwise I think I would still be there.

All the best,
Steve

My 5 days old 2007 2.2cdti is amazingly quick brilliant at overtaking power just seems there, its not even mapped hate to think what 194 bhp will make it feel like
The civic feels a lot quicker than my auto 530i which was 231bhp but overtaking was judged timed manouvere, with the civic its tap the pedal and moves
