I got the judders... help!

Hiya,

Can anyone shed any light on my newly acquired engine judder? It seems to happen between 1000-1500 revs when I have changed from 3rd to fourth gear.

It is intermittent but seems to be happening much more recently.. it doesn’t seem to matter whether the engine is warm or cold and the clutch was replaced around 2k miles ago so I am hoping its not that!

Hmmm ideas anyone??

Thanks

Haha, I know what you mean but I can stand my ground... if I know what I am talking about!! This car has cost Honda a lot to get sorted so they may just try to avoid spending the time on it. They know my name and reg at the dealers.. quite impressive I think

I had a similar problem with my car: http://www.civinfo.com/forum/engines...-throttle.html

Been quite busy and still not got it sorted. I find that it is much less pronounced when using fuel such as BP Ultimate Diesel or Shell V-Power Diesel rather than the normal stuff.

Please give an update here on what your dealer says, whether or not they fixed it and what they did. I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks.

Thanks for the link Hussein, very useful. I didnt come across your thread in the search though!

I hope this is something that can be easily resolved. I use V-Power all the time so that doesnt really make a difference in my motor. Hmm. Typically it didnt happen at all this morning, so kinda ruling cold out as well.

It could be the flywheel if that wasn't replaced with the clutch already.

Oh, just to clarify - my car still does judder sometimes on V-Power/Ultimate. Its just that it judders more on normal stuff.

Also - my car had a clutch replacement too. It was done by the previous owner just before I got the car.

If this has only started after the clutch change then I would suspect clutch misalignment, although this is normally most evident when pulling away from standstill.

Sadly the clutch was changed a few weeks after I got the car so I didnt notice.. Its always after the clutch has been let out though which makes me think it may not be that! Although what do I know
