Can't find dipstick to check transmission fluid

Hi I've been looking in the manual and on the forum but can't seem to see where the dipstick would be to check the transmission fluid. I have the 1.8 civic 56.

If it's an auto gearbox then it'll be a yellow handled dipstick somewhere near the battery/airbox going into the transmission, if it's a manual then there won't be a dipstick.

Ok it's a semi automatic so I'm guessing there's no dipstick. Any idea how to check the fluid if there's no stick.

Yeah there's only two pedals but you have the choice to drive manual with it.

Does it look like a manual gear selector with neutral to the right, reverse below it, and automatic/manual over to the left?

with the i shift its a sealed system, in other words there is no dip stick, there should be a fill point and a drain point, so if you are deciding to do a transmission fluid change, drain it, and fill it till it trickles out the filling point,

Ok thanks. Yeah I'm looking to change the fluid but wanted to check the condition before.

It's the same as a manual box so it only needs to be changed after 75,000 miles but more than likely the clutch will go before then and the oil will be changed with it. But I didn't think the 1.8 engine came with an i-shift box.

Theres no transmission level check as its a manual box which takes about 1.6L of fluid and is a sealed system. Theres a drain and a fill hole and thats about it. No torque converter in there as its a 6 speed computer controller manual box with a clutch!

As for the fluid, 2L od MTF will see you right. Drive it to get it up to temp, undo the fill bolt first before you undo the drain bolt. Drian it all out, replace Adrian bolt with new crush washer. Pump in as much fluid as the box will take before it starts spilling out the side. Wait until it dribbles out slightly as this is how you make sure its level fill. Pop fill bolt on with new washer and thats about it!

people saying theres no level check isnt exactly correct
most gear boxs( and diffs on rear wheel drive cars) have a plug on the side similar to sump drain plug that is your level check just fill till it starts to dribble out

Hi
what do you mean transmission fluid , in i-shift there are in gearbox as in manual transmission 1,8l MTF3 and in actuator DOT4 brake fluid . In actuator system you can change DOT4 during CLUTCH FLUID AIR BLEEDING, the procedure in HDS system and the static learning procedure is required, you must looking for filling the fluid bottle during it and close the nut when program ask for it.
???????? ??????? i-SHIFT - ??????????? ?? ???????????? ? ??????? Honda Civic 3D
???????? ? ?????? MTF (????? ??? ???????????? ???????????) - ??????????? ?? ???????????? ? ??????? Honda Civic 3D
good luck
