when you connected up to jump start did you have the keys in the ignition? The surge may have scrambled your keys code? There is a few threads on here about it. Hopefully its something different though

All sorted, was something simple,

i opened ther car with the key, so when i had charged the battery up a little (with alarm will going off) i took key out of ignition and then used the key fob to shut then open the door electronically which in turn stopped the alarm from going off.
