I hear good oil has good cleaning/ anti sludge agents already in it and there's no need?
More expert heads on here will know...

If it has always had good quality oil changed at.the right intervals, I'd not flush.

I always flush with filter and oil.
Just rather not get the oil filthy before its even used.
Wether its good for the turbo or not is another matter...but I defo dont want sludge buildup in there.
Forte is the only one that garages seem to recommend

I didnt get it flushed in end, maybe I will do it at the next change, just worried that they dont get all the flush out and it damages the new oil they put in.

I always had my last car flushed at every service, Forte is what they used.

Also worked for a company that made engine bearings and slush does build up progessively in the bottom of the sump, whether you change the oil regularly or not and will cause more damage than good.

Other causes:
higher revs than required when cold
wrong grade
Cheap oil.
