If the REV bit is still there, they're on.

Are you sure you're revving high enough?

Are your ECO lights working?
I can only think that they have been turned off somehow.

I have tried to switch off and back on the ECO lights. It didn't affect the REV lights at all!

i think the rev lights are pointless. They dont come on hardly at all and even when they do its not really worthwhile.

I think they are (more) useful on the iVTEC...

I deliberately revved hard to light them up, I seldom look at them but they were working fine last time!

Try using the rev limiter, it's safe and the lights should come on, before you do just check they're switched on in the centre menu.
Might be an age thing!

Its in the computer, think its the 4th option down, just go thru the computer and you will find it, I knocked my eco ones off and had them back on again later in the day.

Can I ask a stupid question, how do you access the menu to change these functions? I tried holding the 'i' button which gave me a crossed out icon before going back to the normal displays (mpg, av speed, seatbelts etc).

You have to be stationary and in neutral on the i-shift so i assume its the same on the manual car to...

'Hacked' into the trip computer and turned the lights 'on'. They had been set to off, I definately didn't change it so I'm putting it down to ghosts or accidentally doing it while drunk*.

* joke.

I don't agree here. It is very easy to over rev the diesel; especially in 1st and 2nd.
You only have to be a second or so late in changing and you are heavily into the red lights.
In the 1.8 you have 7000rpm to play with and plenty of audible feedback as to what the engine is doing.
Regards
Tony
