Since that i have driven 75 km but when i parked my car today and shut down the engine, i could here something boiling in the engine bay. So i let the car stand for 45 minutes and checked oil level. Now it was almost against the uppermark and the oil was after 45 minutes still very warm. The oil light has not come on yet but i dont thrust it. Going straigt to the honda guys tomorrow for a refill, they said it needn't some special synthetic honda oil for a good running in period.
Now have i damaged my engine by driving it in pretty hot weather over here, what do you guys think?

grtz
No worry, no worry
As long as you did'nt hit the red at temperature gauge, nothing to worry, especially if oil light has'nt come on, the engine has not had time to suffer !
Now how muche of milage di you have ? What is your oil consumption ? I have 4700 km on clock and have not consummed any oil yet !!
Boiling could come from the water coil (radiater) which could be normal due to some hot period.

I have a 2.2 and about 3000 miles ago when I checked the oil level it was on minimum (16000 miles). I put a litre in and at 19000 miles it needs topping up again!!!

Is this acceptable?

Mileage is now at 10500 km, i already topped up the oil at 7500, but the car did its first big trip last week (550 km in 2 days) so i am thinking this has something to do with the higher oil consumption cause normally i do small trips in the city (between 5 and 15 km) After buying this car i have become one lazy fok
and it was the first time to hit the 600 km mark on one tank of fuel yeeey, reckon i could have gotten 650 out of it, but towndriving just kills mpg

No not that hard and yes its on minimum again . Service due in a few weeks I will mention it. I just do not want to be fobbed off if it is quite normal for this engine.
