The DSG is indeed stunning and the work of genius/madness but I think the problem is it's so easy to Pattent and VAG won't let anyone near

I don't think I have heard anyone who has an i-Shift not loving it but a half hour test drive is not enough to fall in love

Having had the 1.8 I-shift for 2 weeks now the only negative that I have is when approaching roundabouts in auto and I decide to accelerate quickly. The I -shifts needs too much thinking time and results in a hesitant shift and time is lost. I now shift into manual on final approach, accelerate on and then immediatley knock it back into auto. Works fine for me. Otherwise a real pleasure to drive.

Had a go in a mates A3 with DSG box and they do the same at roundabouts yes they change quicker but still don't know that there is a roundabout coming up
