supercharged civic (type r)

Hi guys seen two supercharged type r's on eBay which is believed to be 350 BHP.
Would it not just torque steer, and lose traction and therefore not get the power down?

My Scirocco R was running that kind of power and its not as bad as you might think. Yes in the wet 100% throttle becomes a bit useless in first and most of second but Im sure lots of the guys here will tell you its not as bad as it sounds...

In the dry I was able to put all the power down with little problems..

Thats essential really, the Scirocco R did well enough with an electronic diff. A proper mechanical one should keep it in check

It's not bad at all ? Unless you plant your foot in first ? Then wheel spin city even with a lsd ? But putting your foot down with quick changes it goes like the clappers & the power is so smoooooth it's so much fun but the LSD really helps with the cornering & power delivery I love mine me

Ive got to say even with the Honda diff 300bhp wouldnt be a problem for the FN2. Its very planted with one.

I agree even with 372 bhp I have a wavetrac diff in mine & I love it you can launch it with very little wheel spin & loss of traction going through the gears just brings you smiles it's like learning all over again with the stage 4 clutch & wavetrac diff it's just a great combo & sooooo much fun

It won't get the power down like RWD or 4wd, put it that way. Anyone who says they have few traction issues in a 350bhp CTR is talking ********, or they have the worlds stickiest tyres.

300+ is fine, you can wheel spin in 1st gear with a standard fn2 so of course floor it with a charger an your gonna stay where you are and just shred rubber. But drive properly and put the power down at the right time in the right gear, and combined with a LSD you have no drama's

Where in stafford you from smokey? thats my original home town, will be there in a few weeks

That was meant for cornering, not loosing traction because you have a powerful FWD car.

I think you need to drive a charged fn2 before you can comment

But they do loose traction and can be made to wheelspin if your not careful on the throttle.

You know it can easily be done in a standard CTR.

Tell ya what, race a scooby with similar stats from a standstill and see how you get on.

Im not, im just against the idea you have no traction issues and wheelspin is never a problem.

So you can dust a 320bhp scooby from a standstill?

i said average scooby, who doesnt expect to get beat by a civic which is known to have 200bhp not 316. i have no doubt a scooby has more traction. the thread never questioned that. if you want a scooby go buy one. all us charged owners know what our cars can do if driven properly. why have 200bhp when you can have over 300 and use it when you have LSD and BBG and a good clutch.
