When is the best time to Superchip?

So I fall into the world of turbo-diesels next Friday hopefully when the NHB i-CTDi arrives, and the crunch question is just when to go for the Superchip?

I will obviously put a few miles on it to make sure nothing falls off, but is there a recommended point (in mileage) where fitting one to a new car is recommended?

Any advice welcome!

(I did own a Pajero 2.8 TD so it isn't quite virgin territory!)

Why?

I gather it makes little difference when you have it done. The gains are fun at any time.

I'm having the same debate with myself. I think I'll wait until the first service (next month) is out of the road and be sure everything is working fine!

I would run it in first.

Would get the re-map done as soon as possible ( thinking about getting mine done if funds allow ) do not think you need any specific mileage on the engine beforehand.

wait till engine has run-in, make it gradual for 2 reasons :
1) Wont be tempted to brutalize new engin if not run-in properly.
2) It is important to get to know your engine before remap or super chipped if not, you will not appreciat the difference if installed already in new engine.

Well......................................

I had mine 2 weeks and 600 miles on the clock, Celtic came late last night and worked their magic.

Previously had a Fabia remapped so know what to expect etc.

All I can say is that I'm very impressed both with service and performance and no I've not ragged it yet or likely to but you know you have the power if needed.
