Type R Exhaust On A 1.4????

While browsing Ebay for cheap parts to fix my car I came across a couple of people selling standard Type R exhaust. Would I be able to get someone to fit this to my 1.4?? I'm assuming it might need a bit of tweaking mind.

Honda civic type R rear exhaust tail pipes and silencer off 2008 model | eBay

Honda Civic Type R FN2 ORIGINAL exhaust | eBay

Here are the links to Ebay.

Looking at the drawings below it looks like the exhaust follows the same route as the CTR but the 3 bolt flange where it bolts on to the cat is definitly at a different angle so some modding would be required there..

Honda Car Parts / Choose by Model / Honda Parts | Honda Cars | Honda Motorcycles | Honda Power Products | Lings Honda

EDIT: Here's the CTR system.. http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda...&block_03=9966

Then of course there's the issue of the tailpipes.

If the 1.4 i-VTEC is like the 1.8, then there are NO manifold pipes - the manifold is built into the head, and the 'Cat' / Exhaust bolts directly to it

ABP Motorsport sell Milltek front pipes for the 1.8, that then allow any FN2 aftermarket exhaust to be mounted

Possibly, these (modified ?) would also work for the 1.4

Tailpipes : you can open up the exhaust triangles (Honda sell a twin-pipe rear exhaust conversion kit) - [NeoFlare] had this on his i-DSI

Manifold : with manifold piping, FN2 kit should certainly be possible, albeit with some modifications at the front end - if your 'cat' is mounted on the head (no multiple manifold pipes), then you you will need the additional front pipe(s), but also modfied somewhat ?

I've got exhaust triangles fitted.
I think I get what you mean.

I think for the sake of £50 and a trip down to see the relatives and then a visit to my local garage might just be worth it.

Never found the Honda twin pipe accessory, and isn't Powerflow a performace part (expensive)?? I'm being very Yorkshire about this and trying to do it on the cheap.

Image hasn't loaded. But I'm assuming its from Lings which from what I can see both backboxes are the same size. (I hope).

Just been to see my local garage about how much it would cost to fix my car after my crash and he seems pretty confident he could fit it with a bit of modding.

*UPDATE* Well I won't be fitting to my 1.4 as I know have a 2.2.
Might see if I can fit it to my 2.2 though.

Yes a type R exhaust fits the diesel from the cat back.
Many diesels have had milltek and martelius.
Remember they wont be anywahere near as loud nor sound the same.

I've been to ABP asking the same question and they said there is no way it would fit without quite a large modification and a fair bit of money so in the end I thought better of it.
