straight swap...unbolt one and bolt on the other.
Blow torch might be good or some wd40 beforehand.

OEM 2.2 exhaust has a larger bore then a OEM FN2 exhaust ....no point

Couldn't it just be the car regenerating??? Or don't you have DPF?

Ermmmmm not to sound too stupid here but the first bit makes complete sense the last bit went over my head at a similar altitude to a 747??

An I don't believe it does have a dpf.

Why would you put an exhaust with a smaller diameter than what you have onto your car ?

It would give a poorer flow of exhaust gases, which would degrade performance.

It would be better not to do this (unless you have a good reason that I've somehow missed!).

No, no good reason. I just didn't know there would to a degradation in performance. Now I do though.

Although it's not a the full exhaust it's just the back box and tailpipes I was going to add. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not?

If it's smaller, then it'll make a difference. And, if it is smaller, then it'll take a bit of adaptation to fit.
