Tom that's good to know but it's hard to have conversations in my car with the current setup!
Removing the silencer thats towards the cat, gets removed and makes it sound like a martelius.

Removing the same part on a standard type r, wont make it overly loud. Just give it a nice burble and a sportier sound when on WOT.

What side of Glasgow are at?

For the type r its the silencer at point 8 on the attached drawing.

Got a quote for around £50 to have it removed and piped.
East side of Glasgow but I am all over Scotland with work. Was down Ayrshire way last week.

It wouldn't be Simons Custom Exhausts in EK would it. That's who done mine and it was £50.

He took out #13 not #8. The layout is the exact same on the 1.4. Only difference is the second exit. 1.4 on has single exit.

I think the op wants to remove #8 but keep #13 and 14.

As number 8 is the mid silencer.

Yeah??

What I am saying is, as per my previous posts, I got the rear silencer removed and the sound I achieved was similar to what he wants.

I am advising that I achieved what he is looking for by removing the rear silencer rather than the mid one. So maybe to achieve the sound he is looking for and I offered for him to have a listen to mine he should maybe think about removing the rear silencer instead.

Giving options to help him achieve the sound he is looking for.

What section would be best to remove? #8, or, #14?

No i got a quote from RMS Prestwick who want £60 but the guy was trying to tell me the mid silencer is the cat, to which i told him its not.
Meercat in Kilbirnie said £50 and the guy sounds good on the phone.

Quick question, do you plan to get it removed and replaced with a bit of straight pipe?

Yeah, just replace it with a pice of straight pipe the same diameter as the current pipe work.

Will keep hold of the silencer though incase i don't like it. Which i doubt.

I dont think so, just a we bit more noise really.
If it does it would be very minimal.

Cant get the guys to do to mine until next month.
Something to look forward though.

I'm seriously considering this now instead of going for a full custom or Tegiwa as I'm not really fussed about any minor gains or whatnot. One thing I'm confused about though, what is the rear silencer number and on that video it says front silencer, again what number on the diagram?
