Cg clutch help

Hello

I went for the CG clutch and now it is all bedded in (600miles) i am finding it difficult to go from second to third on change down the gear stick is quite stiff to get in gear.

And also the clutch bite point is right near the top is this normal set up when using a paddle clutch.
Before it was installed the bite was just over half way.

Could it be down to the fitting.

Doesnt sound right to me, normally you have to pushe right into the carpet on a new clutch to release it.....so the bite would normally be low too.

Theres a guy from cg on the forum now so ask in that thread.

Right then folks.

I have spoken to the garage and spoken to CG.

After speaking with CG they have recommended that i give the car a good thrashing on the way home from work a little abuse not kill it!! And it has certainly helped with the gear changes alot smoother now. From what he has said i have bedded it in now a full 650 miles so start abusing it. The advice was spot on and i will give it a few more days and see how it goes. Its still booked in next week for the garage to look at.

Update...

Well after 2 days of showing no respect for the clutch i have covered just shy off 100 miles, and the gear selection is easy now not when its cold but it was always like that. Just not 100% happy with my clutch pedal biting point it has lowered slightly but not enough for me to be happy.

Can the pedal be adjusted in anyway with out touching the clutch??

usually you can do this at the pedal itself, there will be 2 sets of nuts/ bolts that you can use to adjust.

This isn't really a solution though imo, my clutch (not cg) is a year old and still bites near the floor - if something's been done incorrectly i'd still get the garage to check / sort it for you

Yeah you can adjust the pedal box but ive never done it. The whole point of a self sdjusting clutch is the pedal doesnt move its bite point as the clutch wears.

Well clutch is all sorted after a week of abuse and torture all is 100%.

The clutch bite is just over an inch from the floor.

After speaking with the fitter it sounds like after driving it like my nan for 600miles meant the adjusters were never put under stress to adjust it self. So once put under stress it has adjusted it self like it should do and now feels normal.

I am very happy with CG as i even spoke to them about my concerns and there help and knowledge, mainly Micks was really helpful.

So all in all sorted
