Tech Engine Rattling

Hi,
over the past few days ive noticed a rattling sound coming from the (i think) bottom area of the engine. It can be heard when the car is accelerating or when its ideling, its not that loud yet but it can be heard with the diesel clatter. Is this normal or am i just being paranoid.

Have you checked your oil?? These things are known to "SUP" it!!?

Not warranty if oil level is low bill can be in excess of 4k?!
