When I was test driving the diesel, the salesman said that they used to chip them at the dealership, giving upto 170bhp, which was honda approved and didn't affect the warrenty. He said something about having a bad experience with one of the demonstrators, does anybody know what he was talking about? We're talking about the Type-S 2.2

looks like superchips is the way forward and am I right in thinking they offer a full warranty on any problems that may arise due to their work?

superchips warranty page -> Superchips - Superchips Warranty.

warranty??

before purchasing a superchips unit ,please be aware ,how much of the price of the unit is for the warranty,do you think the warranty will pay out?
i know from all my research with tuning units/remaps it is very unlikely if for arguments sake your turbo blows ,do you think the tuning companies will say yes our unit/remap caused the damage, check what all companies claim about their products most tell you they cant damage anything,it would be very unlikely for any mechanic/technician to say 100% if a unit/remap had solely been responsible for damaging your car,i know from the tuning unit side of things that with most tuning units the manufacturers claim they will cause around 2-3% extra engine wear,so beware before paying £100s for tuning units with warranties,to be honest i inquired an insurance consultant about trying to add an insurance to my units but the cost of the warranty and the likely hood of a successful claim made it unrealistic and not good value for the buyer
