"*JAE Convey* North and South conveys to meet at the Mugen Expo at Avondale Honda

Hello all,

For those going to JAE on the Friday 9th Sept how about meeting up at Avondale Honda in Northampton as they are having a Mugen Expo then conveying up to Kettering for JAE.

We still have a couple of weeks, at this stage I have no idea what sort of time this would happen (if at all) or what time is everyone getting to JAE but I thought it would be fun to meet up here, check out the Mugen goodies, then head over to JAE.

This is off Mugen Euro's facebook page;

Avonvale Honda Northampton are holding a Mugen Expo weekend on the 9th, 10th and 11th September 2011. At the event will be the CRZ RR Concept car from Japan, the Civic Type-R Mugen and the Mugen development CRZ with iCF system. There will be many Mugen products on display and available to purchase. There will also be Mugen Euro representatives to speak with and lots of competition prizes available to win!

Also, those coming from the North, if any of you are coming down the M1 I will be happy to meet up at Trowell services prior to heading to Northampton.

Anyways, anyone interested in this? Anyone got ideas for timing?

Sounds good to me, I think there will be a few of us convoying down from the North, so we'll have to sort out a rendez-vous somewhere, I'd love a poke around that Mugen CRZ.

Yeah me and leepick will be coming down from north so will probably be worth all convoying down Johnny.

If I win a tour around the Mugen Factory I think Lee will be a bit downbeat, a bit trodden.

Any idea of timing for this? Looking at other forums they are aiming to get to JAE midday/early afternoon ..... are we going to do similar? Maybe look to meet at Avondale 11-12 arrive at JAE early afternoon?

what route will you northan lads be taking ? we can meet at the m1 service at leicester forest services on j21/21a if you like (like we was going to for silverstone jb) should take about 45 mins to an hour from there

OK, spoke to Lee (leebert1988) and Jack (Darkhawk over at CTRO) yesterday at the Mansfield Jap car meet and I've decided to meet up at Donington Services (J24 M1) about 10:30 with looking to leave there at 11am.

This will get the northern convey to Avondale about 12. Hopefully those coming up from the south can meet us there at 12ish.

If we spend an hour or so at the Mugen Expo we should then arrive at JAE 1 - 2ish.

Meeting at Donny services will be some Civinfo, CTRO, EPcivic and a few other forums. Most of them will be going straight to JAE and will probably come off the M1 earlier than us to follow the A14. But I will see if any of them want to come to Avondale for the Mugen Expo.

The reason for this being relatively early is solely because other forums are looking to arrive at JAE midday/early afternoon, as some of them have been before I'll bow to their prior knowledge

So apologies to those that wanted to set off later or have to set off later due to work

Just looked at the route planner. Think it'll be easier if I just met you at Avondale Honda. Its adding nearly 40 minutes to my journey if I was to meet you guys at Donington.

Anyone coming from Manchester/Liverpool way though I'd be more than happy to convoy with.
