Pub Lunch and Cruise in Stoke 22/4/12

Hey guys n ladies,

A few of us from Civinfo are going Alton Towers for the day on Saturday and on Sunday will be going for a Pub lunch and then a drive around the perfect roads of Stoke. I was wondering if anyone close by fancied joining us?

We're a friendly bunch and would be nice to meet a few of you and have a good perv at your cars. Did this same thing last year and was very successful. Leigh took charge on the convoy and did a great job of leading us down some fun roads. Perfect for you Type R owners to Vtec it and us 1.8/2.2 owners to try and keep up.

Heres the finer details:

Plans for sunday:

Basically the same venue as last year. We had a great pub lunch there and Leigh led the charge on a great cruise around the area. hoping for much of the same this time Mr. Moss. No pressure

If we arrange to meet at The Blacksmiths Arms for 12 noon on sunday. This should give everyone plenty of time to get here without having a ridiculously early get up time. These arrangements can be subject to change so let me know if I'm being a bossy ginger worst and I'll change the plans to suit everyone.

Once everyones had food and a perv on each others cars we can all jump in our cars and go for a nice cruise. As Leigh is local to the area he knows some nice roads we can have a bit of fun on!

I, along with a few others are staying about half hour away from Alton Towers in a place called The Hallmark Inn so will be travelling from there on Sunday. If everyone could let us know where your staying/coming from just so I have an idea of the numbers and where people will be venturing from.

Hopefully it'll be a decent day (probably not with the gash English weather) and theres a good turnout so we can have a good perv on each others Civics, and each other maybe

I'll ring up The Blacksmiths Arms on Friday to check if we can book a table so if people could let me know who will be coming on sunday that'd be great.

I would have deffo come to this but im back down in london, some cracking country roads surrounding alton towers. One of my ex's worked there so id happily go and pick her up, after getting in free and to the front of the queue for rides

Yeah the bit of rain did halt everyones ability to nail it! Still a really enjoyable afternoon. Was great to meet new people and those who I already knew before. Leigh did a great job of sorting the route out and the roads he chose were perfect!

Has been a great two days with loads of laughs as always listening to Ste and Lee haha had great time at alts, weather stayed good, discount on food (only reason for being invited hey Lee lol) Ste fitting that many sweets into a tub needs to be seen lol but the new nemesis ride was the worst part of the day if only could get that our back lol

Today started off bad with there being an event on at the pub Ste choose such a bad organiser haha but second choice was spot on got all the cars together, great food and again more laughs lol then onto the drive (thanks guys glad you enjoyed it) even with the rain we got to put the cars through their paces well I know I did haha with being classed as such an aggressive driver lol can't wait for more meets like this and will look for other roads that don't have as many average speed camera checks haha

Thanks to Leigh for a great drive through the countryside, shame about the weather though.

such a great second pub choice though! Yeah the Nemesis 2 ride was awful..... AWFUL!

Currently making a new thread on todays activities as I think it warrants one. will post a link here when done. It will consist of pics of the cars and Lee looking like a cocksure worst while driving.
