TDi-North Dyno Day Saturday 5th November

Following on from the success last year, Paul at Tdi-North has kindly agreed to host a Dyno Day for us on Saturday 5th November starting at 9:30am.

The Dyno Day is open to all classes of cars, i.e. FWD, RWD and 4WD, and any make!

Whether you've never dyno'd your car before and want to see what power you are running, or want to come and compare your car with other members on the same dyno on the same day, or want to check your car hasn't lost power since last time, it's a great excuse to come and meet some like minded petrol heads.

Paul has offered us a rate of £35 per car cash on the day, which will include two power runs and the graph of what figures your car has achieved can be emailed to you.

If you want to pay card, then the cost will be £42, so it is definitely worth bringing cash!

Spaces will be limited as we have been told to expect to realistically expect to do 2-3 cars per hour. It was a great turn out last year and very busy as around 30 cars went on the dyno by the end of the day (less on the vid). This year we will limit the number of pre-booked spaces to 25 to give time for anything the day throws up.

Post up or PM including what car you are bringing and I will stick you on the list, please also state if you will be arriving morning or afternoon and I will try and juggle the list accordingly. Well worth turning up for the whole day though, some brilliant cars last year!

Due to set-up times when changing from one drivetrain or model of car to another we will try and group the different types of cars together. It will just make it quicker to get the cars on and off the rollers.

Unlike last year I will not be taking payments and paying Paul on the day due to the cash price.

If you get peckish while we are there, Paul has told me about a Pub round the corner called the Mascrat which does 2 for £10. The Mascrat Pub is found here using Google Maps or here using Street View.

This will be a easy going sort of event, where you can come and say hello to fellow members and have a look at each other's cars etc. and see the set-up at TDi-North!

John, any chance we could make this the next weekend as im down then for my service and I'd really like to go? Just if the date is flexible?

Not a chance unfortunately bud.

Paul needs a full day with nothing else going on for this day and the 29th is one of the first dates available.

Even if it was possible. We would get nowhere near the 30 plus spectators cars we had last year with just a week's notice.

Come along anyway, there is another payday between now and then, maybe even two being the 29th of the October!

I can't check with Paul now, if he's on he won't have the diary and I've also started the same thread on other forums and I'd have to change the dates on those as well.

What I said about needing a full day still stands though. If you're booked in for your service, in all likelihood this would clash with the dyno day.

Haven't done any performance mods yet and will be good to see what I currently have (or not as the case may be).

No probs Loxy mate just unfortunate that's all, would've liked to have been there, service is on the Friday and staying overnight so could've made the Saturday

I'm sure it'll be a cracking day for a great cause tho
