Driving Experience Meet! - Car *Drifting* Day.
Hiya my fellow FWD members
A guy (from the office) brother has started he's own Drifting company and said guy has been badgering me to sign up for a 'driving experience' for a while now. I did a Half Day drifting a Skyline at Santa pod a few weeks back (best present from the misses EVER!! Video of my first ever attempt at drifting, and first ever time driving a RWD car! But hopefully with a little more experience we'll be like this: (^SantaPod - FastCar Show 12') I'm yet to contact them to finalize details/prices/dates etc, but thought I would post up here to gauge interest first: Rough idea of meet Date: June/ Poss July Company: Drift Limits © - Home Location: Bovingdon Airfield Upper Bourne End Lane Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire HP1 2RR ![]() Price: on the website standard price is: £179...but I think we'll be looking more around the £100 mark tbh, but this is not confirmed yet! Rough idea of what will be inc for the day: The Drift Limits Gold experience offers a whole day of full-blown sideways action. It provides drivers with more time on the circuit to master the different techniques taught throughout the session. Our aim is to stretch your ability so that you can comfortably hold and link huge slides. Passenger Hot Laps - £5 At the end of each session there will be an opportunity for anyone attending the day to experience a thrilling sideways action hot lap of the circuit with one of our experienced instructors behind the wheel. Been on a few tracks in bmw's, formula fords, work rally peugeots, WRC scoobys.
Struggled with the rallying which was depressing for me. Needed another couple of days practice Im much better on circuit so need the practice with sideways action Ironically I use to throw RWD escorts and capris around no problem. Must be rusty. ....and hopefully not getting a useless old fart.

I've only done Thruxton track in a Single Seater and an Lotus Exige. Was epic fun! But im seriously loving Drifting! So much so that if i had space i 100% would have a RWD car/project sitting in my garage.
Anyone else?? |

Just thought I might do a little bump on this. Granted it might not be the best time of the year to ask people to part with money with Christmas approaching, but thought it might be a good idea for a meet.
They now have a Honda too!!!...well an Ariel Atom This is purely a thread to gauge some interest and to get an idea of rough numbers. Once I get a rough figure i'll happily see what he can do, the guy from my work assures me he'll bend over backwards for us though. Feel free to put down any '+1's' if you want be a friend along with you too. http://www.driftlimits.co.uk/ Last edited by Spank My Car; 25th October 2012 at 09:48. |

I spent a day at the Westfield drift experience. Absolutely no control at all but had a whole load of fun.
