Thinking about coming to this, just need to convince the wife that I can be trusted to go out at this time...

What time would this be expected to finish? Only negative is driving for over an hour to get to the start point. :/ Has anyone who has been before able to tell me what sort of crowd it is? Not snobby (lol anything but) but not keen on hanging around with a particular crowd

Bring the wife with you John! haha

She'll make a good co-driver/map reader lol.

I went last year, and it was one of the beat things I have I ever done on the road. People were great, Jap only so no corsa's or saxo's or any thing like that.
It normally finishes up around 4-5am but you can go whenever you like. Everyone meets at the arena and has a look around, something to eat or whatever, then you collect your map and off we all go, not in groups of 20 or so like I imagened all 500 lumps of screaming popping jap metal at once off to take over London for the night.
On the map is the route which can be pretty hard to follow as everyone is charging around at speed which is great, I just picked someone who looked like they knew where they were going to follow and it all worked out. Each tunnel has a postcode if you get really lost, and there are 5 meeting points the best ones being the eye and westferry tunnel (youtube it) and all night people hang round at these spots so there is always nice cars to look at and people to chat to, it all finishes off at Mc donalds for breakfast

Easily the best meet ive ever been to was buzzing all night long. Would highly recommend it.

After saying all that I don't think I'm going to make it this year

lol I really don't think she would be into it at all lol. Leave at 1930 arrive for 2030 finish at 0000 and home by 0100 - sober!? Will try to sell it to her over the next few days...

I would advise you pay before you go as it ensures you get a map and cuts out having to stand in an even larger queue!

Will confirm Friday if i need a navigator. My better half is unlikely to attend although is at least feigning interest. I'm away with work tonight and tomorrow night so won't see her until Friday. Do you have to have a passenger, of can you just follow the crowd?
