Which Induction Kit to go with Hondata Group N ?

Hello

Please can I have some suggestions as to which Cold air induction kit would be best suited to work well with the Hondata Group N ECU.

There are no other mods, everything else is standard.

All replies welcome.

I would prefer to avoid Heat Soak and flat spot issues and I cannot afford GruppeM.
Also I would prefer easy installation without the need to faff about with other parts of the engine bay, cutting and chopping etc.

The best irrespective of mods is the GruppeM that's also the most expensive. TPW recently tested the Injen CAI with good results at much cheaper price than the GruppeM.

GruppeM has 'bling' factor to it, but the wise choice on the results would be the Injen - if moneys no option then the GM.

Either one of the above, because most of the rest that are retailing cheaply are pointless and have nothing on the stock intake, which in terms of intakes is very good.

just seen your edit: I'd stick with stock if you're looking for an easy install intake/cheap/not GM there's nothing out there that I know of that gives good gains by simply sticking it in.

GruppeM or the intakes that require awkward mountings like CPL/Injen offer decent gains.

but are either pricey or require engine bay manipulation/work to get the intake in. Stick with stock.. The others suffer from soak, may sound decent but have nothing on the stock box.

Sorry for the split post... I'm typing on my phone.

swear it's susceptible to heat-soak under certain circumstances/conditions but it's up to you. People who have 'em, love em but a couple people have put it best, unless it's GM best to stay stock.

Speak to some of the other modders on the site, they'll help, but the consensus is GM or stock as far as I'm aware in terms of simple installs, with gains and no disadvantages.

I think mugen'll have an airbox too.. That'll be ££££'s probably too.

thank you for mentioning my review ... Yes the hks suffers from heatsoak ONLY when stuck in traffic for a prolonged period.. But when you're rolling and under normal driving after it's fine, it's not as though you vtec in heavy traffic anyway.. Also the kit is louder and faster in good cool weather.. In normal driving situations this kit has given me power (on the dyno) and sounds mental, especially in cold weather where it really shines!!! Any other questions please pm me.. I'm trying to be as impartial as possible for you being honest if you have £320 I wouldn't hesitate to get hks

My opinion mate,

Stick to the stock intake, as isnt that bad, get some £££s toguether ans buy a exhaust manifold, with the reflash, you be a happy man!

BRM suggests good exhaust manifolds, I had that in the back of my mind, but again its all a question of dollars. so any suggestions on a decent manifold, which is not restricted, with prices if poss.
