Hondata Flashpro tuning price

Hi,

I have the flashpro group n map on my fn2 for a couple of months now. Considering getting a bespoke map for my car. Have received a price from AI Autosport here in Northern Ireland for £400.

Is this a decent price?
Anyone got their car mapped by these guys?
Does it really make a difference?

Thanks

Great price! £400 seems steep compared to some I looked at already.

Can TDI South do the same work and for the same price? Don't hear as much about them for mapping, I need mine mapped soon but am based in Kent so it would take me a day to travel up or an hour to get to TDI south.

Can I just jump on this thread and ask if it is worth having it mapped if my car is stock , engine-wise? Was thinking of just getting flashpro and doing group N myself. Cheers

I Just brought Flashpro for mine ready for the charger to go on and in the mean time as my engine is near standard except GM I put on the Group N map as a trial to see what it was like and I'd say do it.

3.5k Vtec is great and also then you know you have got one of the more expensive bits out the way when you got a few more mods.

Group N Map is good, but does run very very rich!

I've had my AFR tuned now, and the car is a lot better for it.

If your talking about getting it mapped for a charger its a whole different ballgame and £400 is about right.

Don't skimp on tuning. TDi South have done a couple of CT kits so have the experience. Another tuner close to you will be fine to do the mapping but don't expect too much help as they sell Jackson and don't like CT....if you get my drift.

Click the image to open in full size.

The above graph is a Fn2 with CAI and reflash of a forum member.
As you can see the car was running AFR of 10.1/11.1 (the flaspro can't datalog lower numbers..) with a duty cycle of 100%. With this intake and other aftermarket ones I have seen, all have the same dangerous AFR with stock/reflash cals (except groupeM)

A few more weeks and this engine would be, probably, destroyed

I have tuned the AFR and all the CAL of this car but I can't do this for everyone as I don't have time (at this time I probably e-tuned more than 30 FN2, almost 2 a day ).

So please if you have an intake in your car go to TDI or CPL and tune your car as they are pro (if you are in the UK). Runing this AFR will destroyed the engine of your car in few weeks.

no.
The groupeM is the only aftermarket intake i have seen that have safe AFR readings (but not perfect) with AFM untuned calibrations.

All other intakes I have seen in datalogs (and I can tell you I have seen almost all) have dangerous AFR. They need extensive MAF sensor calibration.

I know about the other tuner as they are literally 1 mile from me but after my bro and close friends experiences with them i don't want to use them for mapping, i did have the conversation with him about ct supercharger over his setup too and found that he didnt seem to want to know so would rather spend my money with someone who will get the best out of it & show some entusiasm.

Do you have a e-mail address of **** at tdi south who i can ask about some of my requirements eg, prices & waiting times etc??

Thanks

probably no. You can only see this if you make a datalog and look the AFR readings.

Don't know if it will be dangerous but without maf sensor calibration the car will not run 100%.

Give sam a call. (sam@tdi-plc.com)

TDi PLC are the top of the tree when it comes to tuning. You will struggle to find a more profesional company anywhere in the world with the experience they have and it is real high end stuff as well.

TDi North on the other hand, we pretty much specialise in Honda's with a real focus on the Type-R family. We see far more than TDi PLC (South) do but they do know exactly what they are doing. They did Terry's install and mapping btw.
I will be down there next week with Terrys car for the press days then taking the car back to Warrington if your around where I will fit a few more bits and really start to wind the power up.
