Wavey power lines

Ok so last year i had my car done by TDi North who installed my milltek exhaust and also remaped the car to 223hp with really smooth power curves.

Ok so on the weekend I had my car on mobile dyno and it gave me really wavey lines once in vtec and an output of 204hp hp... the 204 im not worried about as every car was underreading what the owners though.

Any I have since installed myself a mugen throttlebody and a Jperformance decat pipe that is blowing slightly where the decat and exhaust meet.

So my question is can this blowing or even the throttlebody cause the waveyness that my car is now giving out?

I have the printout however no way to upload it. I will try my best to get a picture of it up so you have more of an idea of what I mean.

Thanks

a lot of tuners use dyno smoothing so if you see one that isnt smoothed they look very odd. the blowing decat pipe will be losing a lot of power i would have thought!

Its extremly wavey and other cars that were on the dyno also had smooth curves. The only other 1 that didnt have a smooth curve was the DC2 that also had a go.

I am going to try use some gun gum on the decat and see if that can help to stop it blowing. Should there be a gasket between decat and exhaust as there wasnt one between cat and exhaust...

It drives fine and I have noticed more power lower down. Top end there is no difference I have noticed but it definately sounds likes it blowing. When at wot you can hear the hissing sound but when you lift your foot and let the engine slow down itsself its sounds how it should.

The decat pipes "feel" like they make a difference especially low down but end up loosing at top end. Can't remember name of one I tested but was a German one I was testing with ABP. Don't think they are available anymore.

Possible to get it working with a Re-tune I would think as all the cam angles and MAF settings going to be out now and because of that ignitions going to be pulled out.

We have the same with the EP3s running them. You actually loose power until mapped then you get some gains but nowhere near if it was a full manifold.

Has anyone actually tried a newer decat and had it tuned and seen gains before/after?
Seen hundreds of FN2s but surprisingly none with decat pipes. Sport cats yes but not actual decats

I will try gun gum see if i can block any the gaps. I dont think it a weld as they seem fine from the outside.

If i was in the uk i would gladly give my car up for some testing paul. I have the revised JPerformance decat pipe where both the sensors fit perfectly.

Anyone wanna etune my decat?
