The way I look at it is it brings the mappers the choice to map your car and not have the customer buying the actual mapping tools/specific bit of kit for the tuner to use!

A few tuners near me will tweak a map they have written for the cost of dyno time £50-100 ... so addition of other mods wont be as costly!

The only problem is the etuners that offer a great service would lose out.

For all those wanting data logging a simple obd connector and software can do it and save you well over £500 compared to the cost of flashpro

But the scanrate on the flashpro is about 100x the rate of the typical OBDII kits.
Theres no comparison between the two really for datalogging.

what software and device have you used besides flashpro? seems odd that you cant at least match it... especially if the signal is present the software/device shouldnt have a problem reading it...

I think its more to do with the way hondata utilise custome code space in the ECU.
I dont think Hondata go through the canbus as such or in the conventional way.

Ive seen/posess datalogs for flash pro with 3rd gear WOT run.
Which might be 1500 datapoints of about 20 parameters.
In contrast a USB ODBlink and scanxl via OBD2 will give me about 15 datapoints of 8 parameters at the 200hp mark 3rd gear WOT run.

Its in a completely different league.

The thing is I could be interested in a remap but with having to buy a flash pro this works out very expensive unless you keep moding the car which we would not, this option would work out a lot better for us and would guess bring in a TDI mapped car for under £500 compared to around £800

How does this now compare Elite tuning and their direct approach? They reckoned on getting more out of the standard FN2 so would this be broadly similar?

never heard of them but looking at their website or lack of I would rather stick with someone like TDI as there reputation is enough to know it will be spot on.

I had something like ths on my ep3, that was the k100. Only a reflash.
But flashpro/kpro are much much better bacuase they have one thing that this type of reflash don't have: datalog.
Without datalog we never know how the car is.
