No locking wheel nuts? Have a word.
Have they started putting the plastic i-CDTI badge back on also? Mine was a sticker in the upper window. Phil. |

Looks really nice and the colour is great too!!
I hope you are enjoying your new baby like I am enjoying mine. I have put 3000km on her is 3 weeks. Sometimes the wait is really worth it, don't you think? I am getting locking wheel nuts put on on Monday! |

Those are brake shields. As far as I know they are only available for the high spec civic's, like the i.8i-vtec executive version I've got. (for specs, see my signature) However, I don't know if this is the same for the UK versions, but have a look at the wiki section on here. Have a look on this thread: Dodgy Civic Brake Disk Surrounds |

Quite, right they are brake shields. I thought all Civics had them, but apparently not. See the close up of wheel / brakes on this 1.4: Mafia Honda Civic 1.4, "PIMPED" ... |

Unique photo of the underside - I like the aluminium wishbones and aerodynamic engine undertray that people rarely see !

Just a thought popped up in my head. It may appear stupid, but I'll risk it. Perhaps the shields on the top spec civ'c has something to do with the amount of sensors that need protection from dust and water too, as there are loads of wonderful electronic devices on them. No |

But I had brake shield on my 1981 Volvo 240, and the only wonderful electronic device on that was a rev counter! |

underneath civic
thanks alantaverham i did wonder what it was like underneath a civic. i have laid on the floor and tried to look at mine but as you might expect its dark under there. i have bought a pressure washer to wash that car rot off we get in the winter but it is difficult to get underneath the car with the jet gun and to see what you are doing. by the way we live in norwich not to far from you. the things behind the disc brakes i was told are there to fill in the space when you have large wheels. they make the discs look bigger i suppose.
