Hi Smurf

What do you use to achieve that level of shine.

Nothing as posh as collinite or meguiars. Jetwashed it down first, then washed once with Supaguard Acid Rain shampoo, once with Turtle Wax Nano tech Wash & Wax, jetwashed that off, dryed with a good old chamois. Windows & lights i used Autoglym Car Glass polish then Halfords own Rain Repellent (cheaper then Rain X but just as good), bodywork i used 1 coat Turtle Wax Extreme Wax and then one coat of Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine. Wheelarches, front and rear lower bumpers used Autoglym Bumper care. Wheels was Supaguard Alloy Wheel Cleaner then Alooy wheel protector and tyres was Supaguard Tyre & Bumper shine

I think you should really use the Ultra Deep Shine before the wax. What you've effectively done is polish off the wax you applied. UDS is polish, so that provides the shine, and then you "lock" it in with the wax.

Might be just as well using some Super Resin Polish before the wax, it's not as harsh as the UDS.

First proper clean for me as well yesterday.

Pressure wash under the wheel arches = loads of dirty muck fell out.

So no swirls applied by the dealer then. You must be unique. My car was covered in water spots and swirls.

Several coats of UDS would be better than applying it over a wax as it may not bond well to the paint. UDS cannot even be topped with AG's own Extra Gloss Protection as the EGP will not bond to it unlike when used with SRP. You could apply the wax you have over the UDS though.

Got them from Conrad on here. I obviously don't have a Type S or R due to it being a 5 door, so I went for the Type D decals. I wanted it to be original and different, plus i think there are a couple of other Type D's on here as well (TTDegs and i think sushi-chef was getting some as well). Had good comments from quite a few people about them and the car so i'm happy

I like the D stickers, personally think they look really smart, something that will go unnoticed by 99% of people who are used to seeing R & S, not D
