Hello
I got rid of my wee 1.6 sport for my NHB 2.2 Type S. Was a long thought out decision to choose it over the Type R....so dont spam my post up with "why didn't you just get a Type R"....because i Didnt want one Not to say there not briliant cars, as u'll see i've made a very happy medium for myself The old to the new... ![]() ![]() ![]() We all know the Type S is in need of the Type R spoiler, and the bodykit colour coded....thought I'd try somthing with the rear light bar aswell... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pretty happy with the exterior at the moment, I made a wee change to the interior, they help so much more with fast road use. ![]() ![]() Seats were just fitted yesterday, will cover up the "R" or the whole writing really soon...but as of yet undecided on what i plan 2 do with it..as its not the type r. Futre plans...coming soon... alloy wheel refurb - Custom made exhaust. All Comments Welcomed |

The car looks superb! Congratulations, but although you said we should speak about it... Why didn`t you buy the R-Model???
As i don`t know the prices in the UK, i need to speak of the Austrian prices. And if i start to spend so much money on buying the Type-R-seats, spoiler, colourcode everyhing, buy 18inch-wheels, exhaust and so on, if you like it or not, i have to ask: Why didn`t you buy the TypeR. More power, better sound, beeter interiour, nearly same use of petrol, better looks and much more fun! Until today i always tell myself: Why the hell didn`t i buy the prestige-one??? Your car looks great! Have fun, and i hope you will never get unhappy with your decision |

For its intended purpose, it more than does the job, the torque alone creates a big enough smile =)

nice car like what you have done. after all its your car do as you please
but as for slightly softer suspension than the R i think there is a lot more to a ctr than softer suspension compared to 2.2 diesel cts. |

Looks good but I would have kept the original seats.
It needs a 'Sports Grill' too and some side decals Apart from that..Looks good |

The people saying remove the logo from the seats and about buying the Type R are lame...
Some of us want cheaper insurance & better MPG while getting all the good looks! It doesn't live up to the performance but a remap on the 2.2 cdti makes it a 'nippy' car! I want those seats but can't justify the money lol... other then that it looks sweeet! |

I found the seats on ebay. I always drooled over the type R seats when i had my Sport...they were always collection only at the bottom of england...bad times.
So I stumbled across these seats, emailed the guy asking for the truth on them, are they all twisted n bent? holes? burns? deployed airbags?....he replied No they are in mint condition, then i noticed he was 15miles up the road I went and checked out the seats, his wife has the blue/silverish 1.8 petrol type s...and the seats dont look as nice in the car hence the sale. In the end up, i got the front n rear seats all in at £450....which i need to admit i'm well chuffed with With regard to your post Milano.J I'm doin between 25k-28k miles a year Thanks for the comments chaps. Haven't completly decided on what wheels i will buy, as i quite like the look of the standard ones, for the time being i gave them a little re-furb yesterday.
