Any good suggestions for aftermarkets 17 or 18" alloys to fit my car?

I like the original 18" of the typeR? Has anyone seen something similiar to the TypeR's wheels? (aftermarket solution)

I also like the Ace mantas : CTR Deep Bronze Pearl

Stick with the 17"s. If you decide to get the 18"s, you will have a hard time trying to stop. More fuel will be needed and when you start off, the engine will have a hard time getting the speed up.

UNLESS
Unless your planning on changing your brakes for bigger ones and putting a Turbo on it. In this case yes go with the 18"s

By the way, if you like ask jimp about the change. He too wanted the TYPE-R rims. Have a look at jimp's rims they are the same as the Type-R 18"s but they are 16". I personally recommend the 17"s at most.

What do you think of these? I made a little photoshop work to see if those wheels fit the Civic..

1. Enkei RS 05

2. Kei Fin 7

The overall diameter of all the wheel/tyre sizes on the civic, from 16" to 19" are virtually the same. When you go from say a 16" wheel to a 17" wheel the tyre sidewall depth is smaller to keep the wheel/tyre diameter the same. Take a look here:

Tyres and Wheels - Civinfo Wiki

So 17" or 18" wheels will make no difference to the cars ability to speed up or stop.

It's just the ride quality that will suffer on bigger rims.

If I decide to change my alloys, I might go for 18" but I 'm not sure yet..
You see my dillema is that if I go for 18", I 'll have to pay more for the alloy, more for the tyres, and I will have to change the tyre profile from 45 to 40..
But 18" will look better that the original 17"..

Have you had any prices yet for the 17" and 18" wheels and tyres? I doubt there will be all that much difference.

For the price of the alloys I dont know, but for sure I 'll have to pay 100 to 150 more money each time I will change the tyres..

Oh I see.

I've just checked online for prices in the UK and there is only £17 per tyre difference on the Bridgestone RE050 between the 18" and 17"

How about the Goodyear Eagles on Senna's McLaren-Honda?

You'd get plenty of grip from those big slicks, especially the rears!

Yes (i said 100-150 euros for 4 tyres).. Of course the money is the last thing that I'll consider..
I love 18" wheels, but here in Greece we have very bad roads so I might have problem with the 40 tyre profile..
