The simple answer is yes, unfortunately. That is the reason why Honda UK supply locking wheel nuts as standard to UK models via UK dealers. There are parts of the UK I wouldn't even take my Civic, even with locking wheel nuts!

I see your Civic is a left hand drive model. You must live in a more law abiding country. A set of locking wheel nuts is not expensive (one per wheel) plus the special key to remove them when changing wheels etc. Your local Honda dealer will be able to assist, if you feel so inclined.
