I love the car - but it was my original problems with my first 2006 Civic that led me to get involved with Pottsy and build this site up from the ground!

To cut a very long story short, on the way back home from the dealer with my BRAND NEW civic, my engine gave up, and went into limp mode on the A14 just after merging. Something then went amiss with the locking system and I couldn't get out of the car until I restarted the engine a couple of times. Months of diagnostic tests and messing about ensued. Eventually Slough agreed to replace the car.

Apart from a few niggles, I love the car, which is why the time and effort put into this site is well worth it.

that's going to upset a few people!
Though possibly not as much as the £225 Honda are quoting to retro-fit the lead....

It really is a joke!!
A jazz at £10,000 has an i-pod imput socket so why not a civic it must cost a whole £0.14p to make extra!!

What does this mean? Are you saying they will not retro fit a link to a 5 door, or not fitting them as standard to new ones?

They are not standard on the 3 door, since the brochure offers it as a option.

Welcome Glen, nice to have you on here.

Out of interest following my posting in the faults forums:
List of faults I gave to dealer

Do you check all the Civics in your showroom and on the forecourts for the damaged paintwork around the plastic indicators front and back? Note my comment on that posting of me informing them that they one I inspected in their showroom had missing paint

Sorry for the confusion i mean the 3.5mm jack socket which is standard on the jazz.
perhaps honda think younger people will buy th 3 dr and jazz,in my opinion this is not the case.

Honda have some funny ideas sometimes.
Bit like the colour choices the produce both now and in the past.

This thread: Central Clear Plastic Fouling Bumper

Plenty of nice photos of all our Civics in there showing the alignment problems that appear on a LOT of Civics
