Civic diesel with tune-it box fitted!!whoooooshhh!!!
We have a Civic 2.2 with a tune-it box fitted which they say increase the BHP to 169 and the torque is massivly increased.
Personally the effect is amazing!!
1st,2nd well all gears pull like a train.
We have a golf gti td at our used car centre and it could not keep up with the civic
Well worth the £400

Sounds good Glen

is it one of the ones in this thread? -> Extra Ooomph options for the 2.2

the tuning box (diesel tuning UK) I fitted to mine didn't give quite the desired results (though they are still working on the maps, just with someone else)
see this thread -> Diesel Tuning UK 'chip' for details of my results with them

Do you know how much extra bhp / torque it is giving?

cheers Glen

Won't be offended if you don't answer this next one

As a Honda dlr, what would be your stance on a) selling a Civic with this box fitted, and b) fixing it if the engine / turbo / clutch / whatever went pop?

But fitting one, removing it when there's a problem, then trying to claim on the warranty is basically fraud.

It is a shame though - as there's clearly more performance in the 2.2 smoker.

that's kinda the whole point

seriously though - no, I doubt you could (easily) tell, I was just wondering out loud really, as I guessed that most (if not all) dlrs won't touch one with a barge poll.
Great to see you're having fun with one!

I was on a honda tech coarse and they said on a bench test the 2.2 can reach 150+mph but have tuned it down.
When it get sto 130 it wont go any more even though the car feels its got more
Of coarse this was not on a public road
lol
