Having worked for Rover (Honda once upon a time used some of the same parts) where I was in the fortunate position of getting parts at cost +5% - spares and accessories usually worked out at about 40% of retail (60% off). I would expect that cost in this case is the dealer cost which is definitely higher than 40%

One of the dealers i spoke to said they make £750 on a new car, and that he would show me the invoice!
While this may be true I do not think it takes into account the dealer incentives.
Still, judging by the sticker price for my old car, the dealer is looking to make £1695 before costs. I don't think they will get the advertised price, and there are other costs, which would put the profit around £1,000.

I'd like to replace the girlfriend with an asimo, i mean if it got annoying you could just turn it off. How i wish (that she doesn't see this)
