Boot panel clip - can you help?

I recently fitted parking sensors to my car, and when I took the interior boot panel off, discovered that a plastic clip was bent and that explained why the panel appeared to have been 'popping out' and not fitting exactly.

Problem is that as I removed it to fit sensors, there is no chance of getting it sorted under warranty.

So can you help? The panel is boot interior driver's side, the one that supports the parcel shelf rubber 'bit' and meets the rubber boot seal.

There is a white plastic clip near the top about half way along. It looks like a big white raw plug and is attached to the plastic panel and should push into the metal body of the car.

The panel and approx position of the clip are shown by the black arrow in the pic below:

Is it possible to order a new plastic clip, and if so, how much is it?

It should be possible, and about 3 quid if BMW is anything to go by.

I had some queries and Kenny was very helpful. He's based in Ireland and is a parts manager, he hopefully should be able to let you know the part number so you can go back to your local dealer.

No worries - I need one of these as well for the same reason as you.

But mine was dealer fit - i'm just holding out for the 1st service to get it done.

I doubt he will remember me to be honest (I used my real name). I was put in touch with him by Honda Ireland about some issues my local dealer couldn't help with at the time.

John Pease - can you get hold of a couple of black plugs and a couple of white ones used to hold the plastic boot trim on? Almost all the plastic/carpet bits seem to be held on with the same black/white plugs, so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult to find them?

Can you message me the cost and I will work out payment details.
