Its coming home, its coming home, Civics coming home!

My car is ready, got a mail from Honda CS, the "counter measure modification work" has been carried out to the HFT, and extensively tested, seems like it passed! Yeah!!

Still no news on the exact "counter measure", I have asked for a bit more information, we'll see what I get. Failing that, I may have a spot of detective work to do.

Now if you had only had a CALL from them, from the car itself...

Great news Rich - or should that be Sherlock...

I'm quite excited, its like getting it for the first time all over again. Only I don't actually know when they are bringing it back, so it is like the first time, sorry!

Maybe the Civic is a superior being after all, its the Second Coming.

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to rub it in. Its worth the wait, I can assure you, but a nightmare if it has to go away.

I have been lucky in that I at least got an Accord loaner from Honda UK.

No worries. The HFT fix had better be on the production line as I was a little concerned how useless this feature might be but hopefully you can give the rubberstamp when you test it blasting down the motorway with all windows open and making a call.

Any news on the quality now it has been fixed?
What have they done exactly?

Dunno what they have done, but they have just emailed me to let me know they need to do more testing on it, so it won't be back tomorrow.

I just want my car back, this ones costing me a fortune.

Will try and call later, not sure will have much luck. I just hope it hasn't been exhaustively tested on the lunch run and extensively tested into something. Had a friend had that happen with his Golf, took it in for some work, they used it for the lunch run to "test drive" it and rear ended a row of cars, his car is "delayed" and turns up 4 days later with a new bumper, fog lights, but most importantly, the number plate didn't have the dealers name he bought it from on. They nearly got away with it.

No, but two posts so far, both flamers. A suitable case for recycling I think.
