mats

Has anyone found any mats (other than Honda's own) which can be fitted to the civic??

Have just taken delivery of Nighthawk Black 2.2 cdti sport and want to keep interior clean.

'Old' civic mats are way too big!

Welcome to the forum Rog - you may find a lot of members managed to get the Honda mats thrown in as part of the deal so not sure if any will have non-Honda mats.

In my opinion, it's best to get it from the dealer. I think its £50

I didn't order the mats for my jazz because i thought i could save a couple of quid. I must say that I made a mistake by not gettting the proper mats. The ones I got didn't fit properly and the quality wasn't that great. ( I bought a set for £30) . The mat on husband's previous 5 yr old honda looks better and still in good shape.

I think the mats are £60.00 at the dealers now, at least I think that's what appears on the website when you tick the option.

I couldn't get mine for free - some dealers are tight with a capital T!

Welcome Rog, not sure sorry, If I don't get mats in with the deal I go to the next dealer, it's a complete joke that a new car should come without mats.

I told em to shove it unless the mats were included. This was after I'd bartered my way down

Mine came without mats (because I bought mine with a huge discount through my employer, I had no wiggle room) and I bought the dealer ones for £47. They are easy to fit, have a Civic logo, and come with a bracket to stop the drivers one moving that you will not get with non-Honda mats.

I would go for the Honda ones!

I searched in the shops for an appropriate size, but couldn't find anything to fit. Apparently there is a web site which sells them, but the price is not much less than the Honda ones and I am not sure about the quality.
I have Honda's and am pleasantly surprised by the quality and fit.

Many thanks to you all for your input. Looks like I'll have to shell out some more dosh or have a very untidy car

Honda sent a message out to dealers to stop putting the generic any old car mat in, as they can foul the pedals.

Go to the parts dept of your dealer and ask for a discount, if the sales man can't help you out

I fitted the Official Honda mats this morning (£47 for the mats).

All it requires is a Stanley knife, to cut out the premarked slits in the driver's side carpet for the bracket, an allen key and about 3 minutes.

They're certainly better than the lease company supplied ones that were delivered with the car (and did indeed ride up and foul the pedals).
