Please note that only speeds achieved on closed circuits and autobahn can be mentioned.

Posting illegal speeding in not allowed.

Highest speed for myself (in circumstances as above, of course) was 210 km/h on the speedo. 1.8.

Careful what you say or you will be tidied or collared. High speed runs only on private ground / race tracks. See the type R top speed thread.

Has Oulton still got a straight long enough to go fast along, I remember (years ago) when you came out off the hairpin and it was one long straight (ish) into Knickerbrook, then along came health and safety and made them put chicanes in.

....need to remember that the chicane was put in after Derek Warwick's brother was killed there. The very fast right-hander there had no run off area only the steep bank on the left. If that's 'health & safety' then so be it - too late for Paul Warwick though...

'Warwick died in a crash at Oulton Park racing circuit, England whilst contesting the fifth round of the British Formula 3000 championship. The car left the circuit at the notorious Knickerbrook right hand corner and slammed almost perpendicular into the outer circuit armco barrier at 140 miles per hour (approximately 224 km/h). The car disintegrated and Warwick was ejected from the car in the accident. Investigations concluded a front right hand lower wishbone failure caused the crash'

Only 124mph I could of gone faster but did nt want to push my luck as it was nt a track, cant say where as my lawer would shoot me! LOL
Yes it was very stable, and you can really feel the extra push at 110mph when the VTEC cuts in.

I was in my mates Porsche Carrera S a few months ago where he was doing 160mph, and same again cant say where, or who he is? Now thats fast!

Presumably on a closed circuit as illegal speeding is not allowed to be posted on this forum.

All of them are not unrestrictied.
Actually, less and less are around Germany.

Typically, around cities and intersections there are definatly limits. Also if it rains there is usually a 120 km/h limit as the concrete becomes very slippery.

Oh, and there may be a bit of "stau" too.

Have a look here also for more info:

Did 200 Km/h (On the Autobahn so legal )

Got there very fast and smoothly and was not going full throttle, 220-230 should be feasible I think.
