WOW....what i squeezed into the civic

Well what can I say...well impressed with interior space for a small family car.
I went shopping for a table and chairs last night, wanted to save myself £25 delivery so said I would squeeze it into the car.
The sale assistant asked where my 'van' was parked when we walked out to the car park-I pointed to the civic and the assistant chuckled, and said it won't go in there!!!!

I opened the boot folded the seats down and slid the table in..just..i then packed on top 6 chairs, flat packed I might add but they went in.
The shop assistant shut up and was impressed telling me that the 'delivery driver can only get 3 sets of this table and chairs in the van at one time'.

Oh yes, i then put my daughters car seat in the back, an isofix seat so large and bulky...very tight squeeze but went in.....oh yeah then we went shopping and did our weekly shop at tesco's...all fitted in around the chairs nicely.

The wife in the front, me driving and a bootfull of stuff...result...well impressed, no way that would of fitted into my old RX8 or Lexus Is200!!!

So what have you squeezed into your vast boot space of your civic lately!!!!!!

I managed to get a whole pallet worth of boxes into my Civic at one point and there was still space to spare!

I can get in :-

Full set of ranging rods. 1.8 metres x 12 no.
2 no.Trypods. 1.5 metres long, when folded.
Theodolite and level, with all their bits and bobs.
Staff. 1.8 metres, when folded. ( not tried it extended to 5.5 metres yet).
"Er Indoors", to hold the staff and jot down the readings via walkie talkie and for me to blame, if the survey doesn't work out when we get back to the office.
1 no. dog, so he can run around the fields, whilst we are working.

37" Telly, telly stand (both in boot with the seats still in place) 15" telly and two children in the back (one on a full size car seat).

The only awkward bit was the parcel shelf wedged across the rear passengers, which I forgot to leave at home.

Though if I had left it at home, the trip to Comet may have been counted by the Mrs as premeditated and caused resistance before leaving home!!

I drove a small dance orchestra with instruments to and fro sweden (350km / 220mi) !
The two rear seat passengers even claimed to sit comfortably!
We were really impressed what the spaceship could take!
