As mentioned in a post further up, the manufacturer is working on designing the key and the result is due mid Feb at the latest. The Chinese new year is starting soon where they have a weeks holiday, hence the extra wait.

A how to will be made, although I honestly believe most people here will be shocked at how easy it is to remove the electronics from the Honda key, the circuit and battery are in a plastic casing inside the key which will all move to the new key.

As for quality, we will have to wait and see. I would not expect anybody to buy something I wasn't willing to pay for myself, so when the first few do materialise an honest opinion of the workmanship and materials will be posted up from me and a couple of other members of civinfo who are local to where I live.

If that is the case I'm about to order one myself.
Have thought about it for some time now.
Btw, did change my vote to yes as it's not a VAG replica key.

I'm a little worried about getting it cut.
How do I find a company that can cut these keys?

I have an imperssion, that lists are changing constantly - not only by adding peolpe who want the key, but also - deleting some of already listed . Eg. - I was listed in one of the previos lists, but I can't find my name on the last one...

Just pop into a local locksmith, show them your Honda key and ask them if they can cut that type of key (explain you not worried about the immobiliser side or they will say no straight out).

If your looking for a test dummy, then I'm daft enough to fill that role and I reasonably local
