First go with a white background, second go pencilling the background to black.

Just an idea:

Attachment 7372
The buttons have to be in the original position as the honda key fob. The position of them cant be changed. Its basically putting a shell around your existing circuitry. Good effort tho!

Right

I just took XCGuard literally and replaced the Bentley logo with the Honda one.

Thanks for the feedback.

Must admit I prefer the look of the Bentley fob. I will hopefully be speaking to Jason tomorrow so will show him the picture to see what he says. That is an excellent effort Sally, thanks. I have been working on photoshopping that fob, but as this is the first time I have ever used photoshop I wasn't getting very far. As mentioned by Robbie the buttons will have to be in a similar configuration to keep the move from one key to the other simple. Changing the shape of the buttons should be a possibilty, aslong as the contact underneath can be made on the switch.

Will keep you posted after I speak to him.

Yes, the size of the Bentley logo is more suited to the shape. That was the best I could manage with the aspect ratio of the Honda logo. I did try for "Honda" in the appropriate font along the length but that didn't seem to work for me either and was rather bland, especially compared to the Bentley one.

All VAG cars have them.
I really miss mine.
This is an excellent idea.
One which Honda would be advised to take note of!!

I don't know what Illegal hunter means, but anyway here is an update as promised.
I spoke to Jason and sent him the picture of the bentley key with Sally's editted image of Honda on the back. Jason being the equivalent of sales manager or whatever they call it in China said he needed to speak to the engineer who would create the key.
The engineer said he can make a key similar to that of the Bentleys, but as I can't send them a sample for them to work from(Any of you happen to have a Bentley key sitting around that I can send?)it will take a little longer than normal. If we go for a simple key as that of the audi or vauhalls etc then from the day I pay them a mould fee we are looking at approx 14 days before I get a key to sample before giving them the nod to produce the rest.
If we want it designed similar to the Bentley's then it will take him upto 4 weeks to produce that key as it is alot more "complex to design"(engineers words)
What do you guys think. I would prefer to wait the extra couple of weeks and get the Bentley design key as opposed to the boring looking one.

I have won an auction on ebay for a honda key and hopefully will receive it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I will then be posting it off to China for them to get the circuit out of it for creating the key around it. The engineer will look at it when it gets there and then give me a definate answer as to whether he will be able to do it or not. But he did stress that the answer will most likely be a yes!
Some of you maybe thinking, why can't they get a honda key from a dealer there. I know they are most likely the same but I would prefer not to take that chance for the sake of a few quid, as if there is even the slightest difference then it would set this project back weeks.

Going back to what Illegal hunter said, if I understand correctly then he doesn't think this will work out. As I said in my opening post, I can't promise this will happen as I have never got involved in anything of this scale before. My biggest fear at the moment is sending cash to a company I have never before heard of in a country like China where I would have absolutely no chance of getting anything back if I am being strung along by someone. I am willing to put what I can on the line to get this to work out, but if it falls through then it falls through, you guys will be a bit cheesed off, I will be unbelievably P***ed off as I will have lost the best part of £800. But that is the chance I have to take.

Naasir.

I loved picking up my car, but silly as it may sound it was a disappointment getting such a boring key. After all, it is the part of your pride & joy you spend the most time with!

I would be happy to speculate a tenner up front on the off chance this works out.
