Anyone know of a cutter in the Bingley/Keighley/Bradford area than will/can cut it?
I'm beginning to think Ive been very silly and wasted my money!!

Have you tried Timpsons? because they cut a key for my old 307 that had a high security key as well.

Yes I tried Timpsons.
The guy was patronising and rude..!!!

Just been to key cutter (Timpson)to investigate the cost.
When I showed him the key. He said, "You can get one from Honda"
"No". I said, "I want a blank cutting".
"I used to work for Honda. It wont work!!" he said
"I'm going to remove the electronics and put it in the new key", I said
He looked bemused.
"Can you cut the key?" I said
"No!"
I walked away.

Got mine through today, just need to get it cut now. Do you just swap over the inside bit or is there more to do?

How easy is it to un solder and reposition the transponder. Can't find my soldering iron and i don't think my hands are that steady.

It's a tad more difficult than that, these flip fobs were not designed for the civic remote. you have to dremmel the inside a little to make it fit, unsolder the transponder off the civic's remote and extend it out of the case by about 15mm dremmeling the remote case to make room for the new wires...

Getting the key cut is by far the easier part

if you look at the pics, then you will see where the transponder goes and how ive wired it. remember the transponder is also glued on, so it has to be heated and then teased off all at the same tme.
