Busted rim and sliced tire. How much ?
Couple of days ago I was leaving a parking deck and just before I took the downslope ramp I hit the right sidecurb. Made a huge dent in my rightfront rim and even sliced part of the tire sidewall.
I also scraped the curb against the front-lip. I pressed it back in. Most of the damage for that is on the bottom. Just needs a little paint touchup. I'm not gonna replace the lip and wheelarch trim. Dealer told me the tire can be driven, but not too long. So that needs replacing. And I also want to replace the rim. Bridgestone Potenza 18" will costs me € 291,- and the rim is a whopping €435,- Are these prices about what to expect ? |

The standard 18" you get on the Type-R
Did some online tire-searching. I can get the Potenza's for about €140-160 online. Probably due to high volume discounts. But I doubt it if I can get the price of the 18" rim to go any lower, or be able to get it anywhere else at all. Last edited by THX1138; 13th January 2008 at 21:18. |
