Great idea for your business I suppose. I bet his books are filled with young lads wanting to get behind the wheel. By the way, I don't just take pictures of peoples cars when they come in, I did ask permission

mine was a 1.2 nova lol

But round our way there is a polo gti and a mini cooper.

Wonder if the kudos of learning to drive one of them cars actually increases demand with those tutors.

I learnt in a 850cc Mini - Back in the days when the Mini was a tincan on wheels!

It cornered like it was on rails though!

Hi all, Up until 3 weeks ago i was teaching my pupils in a BMW 1 Series 118d M Sport. That was my second 1 Series and loved it, so did all my pupils. The type of car certainly does increase business levels.

But the BMW dropped £10000 in depreciation in the 1st year so i needed shut of it. My options were another 1 Series M Sport, Audi A3 S-Line or Civic Type-S GT. BMW offered me the worst trade in value, Audi never got back to me, so it was Civic all the way. They offered by far the best trade in value and a substantial discount on the Civic.

So i now teach in a Civic Type-S GT in Deep Bronze with Sat-Nav and HFT

I wouldn't think the insurance is too funny on that!!!! Got to be a con surely?? I've seen a 2.5 litre astra estate being used (or some such largish engine), always wanted to do my test in my dad's rolls, that would have been funny. I leart in: A Daewoo Matiz, then in a Clio and a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2........ phew.

I learned to drive and passed my test in a beige Nissan Sunny GSX. I suppose that's where my appreciation of Japanese cars sprang from?
