Cloaking Device??

I am starting to wonder if the Civic is fitted with some kind of cloaking technology.

I have a security light on the side of my house which covers a small private car park. It is designed to switch on for a few minutes if it detects movement in the dark.
My wife's car turns the lamp on when she drives past it. My neighbours cars turn the lamp on when they drive past it. The local cats, people, hot air from the bathroom extractor fan and even a spider who decided to make a web across the lamp all can turn this lamp on.

I drive past in the Civic though, and nothing. However fast or slow I go past it. The car park stays dark

How do I turn off the cloaking device that prevents the security light seeing the Civic, or is there a slightly simpler reason it goes undetected

Since the sensors work on IR frequencies (i.e. Heat!) it is likely that the outer skin of the Civic is not warm enough to trigger the light

You don't need to de-cloak the starship - just turn up the sensitivity on the Security light. (most IR detectors have a sensitivity screw)

The Civic must be well insulated, as it happens even at the end of a 180 mile motorway journey.

The sensor is set to just below the level of a gnat flying past 1/2 mile away setting the thing off. Any higher and the light is on all night

Nope, Federation.

I did nickname my Civic 'Defiant' when I bought it. And the sad among us out there will know that the Defiant did indeed have a cloaking device.

Cloaking device

Maybe it works on speed cameras! Not that I ever exceed the limit of course!

I wish mine had a cloaking device to protect it from gits opening their doors onto it

Almost made it to a year but yesterday noticed a ding/dent in the drivers door where someone obviously didn't know how to open their door properly. Scratch goes down to the undercoat so no polish out for me either

Looks like a 3rd visit from my local chipsaway guy who must have me on his xmas card list by now

gah, i'll add it to the 2 vandal scratches and the windscreen which is covered in fine scratches probably from the ice scraper (which incidentally never scratched any of my previous cars. Perhaps windscreens are being made out of the same environmental friendly crap that paint is these days )

I was chatting to some bus drivers I know, they told me that the company they worked for had said they had to use dipped headlights at all times to make that bloody great bright blue and yellow double decker more visible.

PS
After my comments about the cloaking device, it seems that it's on the blink. For the first time in ages the security light came on when I drove past it last night
That will confuse the dealer when I take it in to complain about the cloaking device not working. Then again, I bet this is one fault Topcat hasn't had with her Civic.
