Replacement gear knobs.

I'm thinking of replacing the standard equipped rather boring gear knob with something sportier. What I'm looking at is the Slant and the Touring PLUS knob, as they has the optional 6 speed shift pattern with variable 'R' position.
Any opinion good or bad are appreciated.

I think the slant one would look better.

I have also been thinking about changing the gear knob, but have not yet found anything which does not feel too much "Halfords".

Fully agree, I'm not interested in a 'Halfords' or 'Biltema' kind of gear knob.

I had a loan car which had a sports nob and I hated it. Just couldn't get used to it... I think my hand is the wrong shape!

I prefer the Honda sport gear knob... even it's more expensive (about 80 €)

Look at Sports gear knob to make your opinion.

Whatever you do - choose a short one! Less movement! More suitable for us lazy drivers .

Hi

You could try looking at gear knobs from Isotta - I have fitted a silver fiber leather "Max", which gels well with the imitation brushed aluminium finish on the centre consol. However, this is a "chunky" gear knob, so if you like something smaller, you might need to look at other models. On the other hand, with this gear knob, you get a fairly short shift stick.

Thanks Egelundsvej!
I'm looking for a shortest possible knob for shorter shifts and sportier look.
So it doesn't matter that it is 'chunky'.
The spaceship had deserved a better looking gear gnob than the stock one, imo.
Any link/ pics?

ISOTTA has an English language version and the range of gear knobs is phenomenal but how many of them are available in Norway is a fifferent matter - in Denmark the range is quite limited. Enjoy your surfing!!

I personally like the Honda sports Gear knob. I really like the feel and prefer it to the standard one - I got it free so maybe that is why I like it!

Thanks guys!

Are you satisfied with the grip and the height of it?
I find the stock one too high.

I have the half leather gear knob from the S2000. Found on ebay for reasonable money quite some time ago. i keep meaning to fit a leather gator but never seen to be able to find a generic one to fit.

Gear knob I have fitted is pictured in the attached

For really decent gear knobs have a look at this site
