First Civic Police Car?!

On my local news this morning I was surprised to see a new Civic Police car sat outside a crime scene - I have to say I thought it looked quite smart!!

Anyone else seen one?

2006.
Honda (UK) has secured Britain’s biggest ever fleet deal for hybrid cars. The Metropolitan Police has ordered 117 Honda Civic Hybrids for its Community Support Officers to use as part of a Safer Neighbourhoods scheme – an initiative to increase police presence on the streets. Officers will use the cars to travel from their operational bases to the start of their foot patrols.

It wasn't a Hybrid, it was a spaceship.

Does it look like this ?

This and the following images are from last summer ... this Civic and my Accord (behind) were casted for movie "The Last Enemy"
Main character Robert Carlyle .
The action take place in 2011 in London and local police drive Honda cars

"The Last Enemy" (200 (mini)

This scenes were filmed in a movie studio near Bucharest.

They are both just too cool, does anyone reckon you'd get away with the striping if you didn't have the words police?

I saw a new shaped Civic Hybrid last year being used by the Met Police in Islington. It didn't have the blue lights though, poss. a Community Support vehicle - I guess it wouldn't be used for high speed chases.

But you've got to admit, the Euro Civic looks pretty cool!

Lights are becoming less prominent on most panda's now, as they have to call in proper cars for the chases (plus the fact, as it's a hybrid, I could outrun it on rollerskates ). Also panda's I believe only have lights for warnings (i.e. parled ahead of a road accident etc. etc.).

Why don't we have police Aston Martins!!!!!!

You could claim that you are running your own Ice Cream Company and it's called 'Poll Ice'!

"Remember those scary noises when you are left alone in the house?
Happened to me the other day.
I then remembered 'Whenever you feel alone, just whistle a happy tune'
So I whistled a happy tune.
Then I felt a hand round my neck and someones saying,
'Thank's for the whistle, I thought I'd never find you in the dark'!"

I like that, or that I am "POLITE" (that is what appears most often on private parking tickets etc.) or you could just have the Glaswegian spelling, POLIS'
