Cool strange noise strange problem

so it was a nice sunny day last week so I took the opportunity to wash
the civic, nice lather and a good rinse off with the hose pipe, looked stunning. Parked on the drive and went inside, next morning up and out to work in the car, bit frosty but no problems, then onthe way home I here something rolling about under the dash board, like something had fallen off
and when i would go round corners it would scrape from one side to another. Just couldn't get my head round it, when i got home checked the
glove box and looked under dash in footwells (nothing interesting ther!) all to no avail. Then my wife pointed out this perfectly formed clear as a bell
piece of ice lying in the black plastic channel where the windscreen wipers are housed, everytime I went round a corner it would scrape backwards and forwards along this channel sounding like it was under the dash.

My question is are there supposed to be drain holes in this trim or is that what normally happens ?

I've not experienced it, but thank goodness your wife identified the problem before you stripped your car down.

And we say they are useless around cars.

Had exactly the same problem last year and was SURE the car was on its way out.
Normal water drains out though....

I'm sure ice would have trouble getting through drain holes...

It's a new idea from Honda, saves you looking in the freezer, get out of the car, break off large chunk of ice pop into large G n T the lady of the house has waiting for you when you get home from work
Dream on
